Certificate of conduct

A German certificate of conduct (also: police record) is issued by the German Federal Office of Justice. Information on how to apply from abroad can be found here.
Be aware that if you have to submit a police record in Lithuania, you might be asked for an apostille. Apostilles are issued by the Federal Office of Foreign Issues. More information can be found here: www.bfaa.diplo.de.
If you intend to apply for a police record by mail, a certification of signature is requested. This can be done at the embassy. Book an appointment here and bring the following documents with you:
- Application form, filled out but not signed
- Valid ID (passport or ID card)
- Fee: 34€, to be paid in cash or by debit/credit card (Visa, Master)
